ZINO Society is a premier membership, business and social network that connects accredited investors with entrepreneurs seeking funding. ZINO Society cultivates camaraderie in the world of wine and business with extraordinary people and experiences, crafting insider events, access to vintners, chefs and unique venues.

With more than 300 active members, ZINO Society is not your traditional angel investment group. ZINO Society’s unique roundtable and social events provide entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their businesses, and investors and business leaders a chance to a network and invest in a relaxed and supportive environment. ZINO Society’s active investor network has already invested over $19 million in angel financing and hosted over 500 presenting companies.

Prior to founding ZINO Society, Cathi Hatch has held executive roles and consulted in the restaurant business for over twenty-five years, including her work as director of operations for Schwartz Brothers Restaurants and regional vice president for Restaurants Unlimited, Inc. She currently holds positions on a number of for-profit and nonprofit boards including Zones, Inc.; Pacific Continental Bank; Pacific Northwest Ballet; YMCA, PONCHO and the United Way of King County.

Kate DesRosier comes from the university technology transfer environment, having worked for several years with innovators and entrepreneurs through the University of Washington's Center for Commercialization. She enjoys being immersed in the energy and creativity of the startup world and supporting entrepreneurs toward their goals. Kate has a background in counseling psychology, customer service, social development research and makeup artistry, making her a renaissance woman of sorts. She lives in Seattle with her husband and three kitties.

Mary Holmes has over 15 years of experience in strategic marketing. She has worked in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments; her career includes senior marketing positions with Starbucks, Garden Botanika, DDB Needham, and McDonald's Corporation. She has also served on the board of S.M.A.R.T Girls and the Bothell Arts Council. Ms. Holmes has effectively developed marketing programs that provide added value for all business partners. Ms. Holmes customizes elite sponsorships for ZINO Society that link businesses and ZINO Society roundtable and social members. Ms. Holmes oversees ZINO Society’s programming, communication and marketing.

Jamee is a Seattle native who spent the better portion of her childhood sailing around the world with her family.  Through these experiences her life’s passion has been on relationship building and connecting ideas and people. Jamee has worked in luxury real estate, green commercial real estate and hi-tech. She also had a small catering business on Bainbridge Island and therefore loves fine food and wine in textbook ZINO style! In fact, she is a past ZINO Social member. She enjoys philanthropy and her current focus is on the Seattle Art Museum Supporters organizing fundraisers for SAM. She is an avid tennis player, has a wonderful son named Kai and two miniature dachshunds.

Christine Gilbert is the Events Director for ZINO Society.

 

 

 

Liza Cantu is a Senior at the University of Washington, majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Marketing. She is thrilled to be able to utilize both her marketing knowledge and passion for events with ZINO Society. As a born and raised Seattlelite, Liza enjoys working with a company that supports local industry and entrepreneurship. Having recently returned from wine tasting in Central France and Napa, California, Liza is lover of both travel and wine, and is happy to work in an environment that aids to her status as a casual oenophile. In her free time Liza is most likely to be either trying out a new recipe or letting loose one the dance floor.

ZiZi Zinfandel Z-Dog

ZiZi Zinfandel Z-Dog is the newest addition to the Z-Team and is already everyone’s favorite member. Whether she is chewing on our shoes or snuggling in our laps, she knows how to put a smile on everyone’s face. ZiZi is excited about her new home with the ZINO Society and looks forward to the excitement ahead. When she is not spending time at the office, ZiZI enjoys playing in the grass, sleeping, and going to the “spaw” with Cathi.
