ZINO Society’s $50,000 ZINO Green Fund Awarded to O Ecotextiles

SEATTLE – May 15, 2008 – ZINO Society’s $50,000 ZINO Green-Socially Conscious Investment Forum Fund is awarded to O Ecotextiles, Inc. O Ecotextiles produces eco-textiles for interiors including; drapery, upholstery and top of the bed. They provide sophisticated natural fiber fabric collections for people who want a choice that is safe for the earth and for their family’s health and delivers on design, performance, and price. “When the decision to award the ZINO Green Fund was made by fund investors, it was exciting to recognize the significant traction CEO Patty Grossman has made over the past 12 months since we first saw her company,” stated Cathi Hatch, ZINO Society CEO.

The runner up for the ZINO Green Fund was Goose Networks. Goose Networks promotes sustainable transportation by helping people take advantage of existing infrastructure.

Patty Grossman, CEO of O Ecotextiles, Inc. said, “We were delighted with the ZINO Society's due diligence after the event itself, which allowed O Ecotextiles to prove its claims of having products that are green but gorgeous. An additional $50,000 investment from a ZINO Society Member was made as well, so you can imagine we are quite pleased.”

ZINO Society hosted the second annual ZINO Green-Socially Conscious Investment Forum, April 22, 2008. Ten pre-screened, coached, entrepreneurial companies exhibited and presented their business plans to investors. Following the event, fund investors participated in due diligence as a group.

”ZINO Society hosts over 20 angel investment meetings per year and at the suggestion of our zInvestor Advisory Board, we plan to produce additional special interest investment events similar to ZINO Green,” said Cathi Hatch, ZINO Society CEO.
