ZINO Society members are invited to attend the Northwest Entrepreneur Network’s second “First Look Forum” on Wednesday, October 14th.
Over the course of an afternoon, 12 innovative businesses will pitch to an investor audience. The slate of presenters has been selected, representing sectors including mobile media, retail software, medical devices, green tech and web services, who are currently being coached by investment professionals. Please note that these candidates only qualified for consideration if they had not yet pitched to the membership of an organized angel group (nor to a VC partnership)—so you’ll be sure to get a “First Look” at some varied and exciting new companies! Who: Attendance is by invitation only, targeted to accredited investors who enjoy innovative business models, bleeding-edge technologies, coachable entrepreneurs and a new source of deal flow. The March event had representatives from 17 Puget Sound area investment groups, and got stellar reviews from both presenters and attendees alike. Hope you can join in the fun. What to expect: You will hear 3-minute pitches from 12 companies, and vote to narrow the field to 5 semi-finalists who will in turn deliver 10-minute presentations to the group. In an American Idol-inspired format, the audience will select the one finalist who will receive a prize package of startup essentials, from coaching to "HR in a Box" to a year of office space with WRF Capital.
