CURRICULUM:

• "Legends of the Fall" A panel discussion with key influencer in the Washington wine industry. Retrospective on how the industry has evolved in the state and prediction on where it will be in 20 years.
• Marketing the Nectar of the Gods: What are the legal requirements for marketing alcohol on the internet? Where is the proper mix of traditional and social media?  How to make the most of your wine club?  What messages resonate.
• The Science of Wine?  Hear about the phenolic compounds found in grapes and wine and their biochemical and chemical changes during grape ripening, winemaking and aging that affect mouth feel.
• Names to Name calling: Defending your brand, label and trademarks: Names and trademarks for wines and winery are increasingly the subject of conflict and litigation. Learn what is defendable. What is the anatomy of a  label and how to launch a brand you can protect!
• The Inner Workings of a Distribution Mind: With over 600 wineries and hundreds of labels, how do you get a distributor's attention? Hear from a panel of distributors and what they consider the tipping point.
• Put the Fund in Funding: What are lenders requiring for loans for vineyards and winery operations? What should angels know about private placement, and what do terms look like for wineries or vineyards? What are angel investors looking for? Chance to apply to present to ZINO Society...free.
